Diamond Production Technician

CNC Machinist Lathe Operator

Job Purpose:

Produce machined parts by operating conventional & CNC Lathes and vertical milling machines for production runs. Swiss style screw machine experience a plus. Maintain quality and safety standards; keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.

Duties & Requirements:

• Setup & run dual spindle, dual carriage and Y-axis CNC lathe; change inserts & make offset adjustments to maintain high quality machined parts.
• Must be methodical & have the ability to read NC code.
• Ability to read blue prints & precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor Citizen Swiss screw machines in production.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Able to stand for long periods of time at the machine.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer's instructions.
• Check & record monthly stock inventory;
• Must be punctual, positive minded & work well with others.

Diamond Production Technician

Job Purpose:

Produce small industrial diamond parts in a fast paced production environment. Manual dexterity and close attention to detail a must. Individuals must enjoy working with small parts, microscopes and advanced precision machinery. Also vital to job success, is the ability to work well with others in a professional, positive work environment. The position is for full time employment with excellent benefits.

Duties & Requirements:

• Education - High school completion or equivalent required, additional education a plus, however not required.
• Work experience - As the position is unique, onsite training is provided. Previous experience with microscopes, operating precision machinery and utilizing tweezers are a plus.
• Must have manual dexterity, excellent fine motor skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Must be punctual, positive minded & work well with others.
